Things You Should Know About Remanufactured Printer Ink Cartridges

Everyone is aware of the fact that it can be unbelievably costly to use branded printer ink cartridges and the value for cost is not ideal. Astonishingly, these ink cartridges are priced at about 40% of the printer's value. This means that if these cartridges are purchased three times, the consumer will have ended up paying the price of his/her printer all over again. This is why many consumers consider it wiser to use remanufactured ink cartridges. In fact, there is a lot that consumers do not know about printer cartridges.

------------------------------------------------------------

1. Remanufacturers do not just replace the ink the cartridges

Every damaged or worn component of printer ink cartridges is replaced by professional manufacturers. They clean; test or replace the Imaging Drums (OPC Drums). In most ink cartridges, the most expensive part is the OPC Drum, but it is vital for the cartridge to perform efficiently. Remanufacturers also replace the charge rollers and other mechanical parts in these cartridges before remanufacturing them. They also replace microchips to restore the full compatibility and functionality of the printer ink cartridges.

------------------------------------------------------------

2. Third party ink is as good as the ink in OEM printer cartridges

Chemical Toner was invented almost 7 years ago, and ever since then OEM's have been using this new technology to manufacture printer cartridges. Remanufacturers started using Chemical Toner about 18 months ago. The truth is that the quality that remanufacturers are able to achieve the same quality for their black and white and color printer cartridges.

------------------------------------------------------------

3. Remanufacturers do not reuse ink in their cartridges

The truth is that if they reused ink while remanufacturing cartridges, the cartridges would not work. During the printing process, the electrical charges and paper dust tend to contaminate the ink, as a result of which it is rendered unusable. Moreover, a different ink formulation is required for the cartridge models from different manufacturers. For these reasons, remanufacturers never reuse ink.

------------------------------------------------------------

4. Remanufactured printer ink cartridges are as good as originals.

Remanufactured printers are being used quite widely these days, which is proof of the fact that they are not inferior to original printer cartridges from the manufacturers. When it comes to the printed output and quality, not much of a significant different can be noticed between original and remanufactured printer cartridges. Of course, remanufactured cartridges also allow consumers to save money and feel good that they are playing their part in conserving the environment.

------------------------------------------------------------

5. Using remanufactured cartridges do void the printer warranty.

It does not matter whether people use original or remanufactured ink cartridges, OEMs cannot void their printer warranty as per the American fair trade and European Union laws. So, consumers have no reason to worry about using remanufactured printer cartridges with their printer. They can continue using remanufactured cartridges and still claim their printer warranty if the need arises.

------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, the benefits of using remanufactured printer cartridges are quite incredible. Hopefully, these facts eliminated any possible misconceptions that many people have about remanufactured printer ink cartridges.  I hope you will think again about using them.
